In Tehran, a desperate Iranian mother plans to flee the country when others, including her husband, frantically search for their missing daughter after school, while she has already taken the child and pretends not to know where she is. Kiarash Ardeshirpour

 born in 1992, is an Iranian filmmaker based in Tehran. After leaving a software engineering program to pursue acting, he transitioned into cinema, gradually discovering his voice through screenwriting and directing. He later earned a BA in Film Editing from Tehran University of Applied Science and Technology in 2023. He wrote Hamster, a France-Iran co-production directed by Fatima Nofely, which premiered at the Brussels International Film Festival 2024. Besieged, his debut short film as a director, unfolds in Tehran.
