An old house belonging to a family with political leanings is being demolished. Mohammad and his niece Diba are the only family members remained. Mohammad is satisfied and Diba is sad because of the bitter memories of the house. Mohammad is left alone at home and we witness the influx of parts of the family’s past into the present.
1953
Mostafa and Siddiqa, a husband and wife who are from two different political parties, cause disasters during unfortunate events. Siddiqa dies and Mustafa is arrested, leaving their son Bahman and his sister Zoya.
1978
It is the year of the revolution of the Islamic Republic. The family, which is against the current political regime, is planning to emigrate, when the news suddenly comes that Bahman’s sister, Zoya, has died in the protests.
1996
Bahman and his family, who did not immigrate in 1978, took back their father’s house from the Islamic Republic after many years and returned home.
2009
The Bahman family, who have lived in this house for years, are waiting for Mohammad’s release from the prison of the Islamic Republic. But in the end, instead of Mohammad being released, I.R.’s agents come to their house and take the whole family with them. Diba, the niece of Mohammad, who is a 10-year-old girl, witnesses all these events.
We return to Mohammad, who leaves the house with a different mood after reviewing all these events.
